This simple, bright Iced Vanilla Mint Moringa Latte is one of those drinks that feels like a treat! It's filled with mint, nutritious moringa leaf powder, vanilla, and dates for sweetness. Make it in the blender for a delicious, luxurious sip!
I really love making a drink that feels extra special. When I wake up needing a boost, I grab my Moringa leaf powder and make this refreshing latte. Now that the weather is warming up I'm drinking this iced, but you could try it warm if that's your preference! My Iced Vanilla Mint Moringa Latte is as simple as tossing ingredients into your blender and blending until smooth!
What is Moringa?
Moringa is a tree native to India that's been a health support for generations. It's rich in antioxidants and has so many health claims! The entire tree is used and consumed (although in stores it's usually in powders or capsules). I buy mine on Amazon and love adding it into drinks as a green superfood! It's a caffeine-free supplement that can boost energy, immunity, and circulation.
Health Benefits of Moringa
Are you on the MORINGA train yet? If not, hop on because it is one seriously magical, nutrient-dense plant. Moringa is rich in nutrients such as dietary fiber, beta carotene, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. It also has calcium, potassium, iron, protein, and a variety of antioxidants.
Moringa is similar in look and taste to matcha but it doesn't contain caffeine. It has been used for centuries to treat conditions such as anemia, anxiety, skin infections, bronchitis, and more! It's even said to have anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-hyperglycemic, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties.
Moringa has been shown by the National Institues of Health (NIH) to be beneficial in treating several chronic conditions. These include hypercholesterolemia, high blood pressure, diabetes, insulin resistance, non-alcoholic liver disease, cancer, and overall inflammation. You can read even more about the health benefits here, here, here and here. These are all evidence-based credible sources.
Substitute for Moringa Leaf
If you prefer a boost of caffeine in your latte, I suggest using matcha! You could also try my Vegan Dalgona Whipped Matcha Latte, which is absolutely delicious.
Mint Moringa Latte
I added mint into this latte to mask the grassiness of moringa, which a lot of people are apprehensive about! Adding mint to this drink adds a boost of vitamin A and will feel soothing on sensitive or upset stomachs.
The Best Vegan Plant Milk
For this Mint Moringa Latte I suggest using either almond milk or oat milk, although any of your favorite plant-based milks will work here! You can buy these in the store or make your own. Making milks at home is surprisingly simple if you've been wanting to try it!
Using Dates to Sweeten a Mint Moringa Latte
To keep this recipe free of refined sugars, I put two dates in the blender! These add a delicious natural sweetness that makes every other flavor in the drink pop. Dates contain loads of fiber which aids in weight loss, digestion, and heart health. They contain nutritious vitamins and minerals including zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese, vitamin B6, niacin, calcium, iron and vitamin K. Dates also contain 50% more potassium than a banana (weight for weight). Potassium builds muscles, regulates your heartbeat, controls fluid balances and breaks down carbohydrates.
This Mint Moringa Latte recipe is caffeine-free, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, and can be nut-free depending on what kind of milk you use. If you make it, I hope you'll leave a review here and tag me on Instagram! I love seeing your creations!

Hi Sara! Never too late to join the party—welcome! 🙈😂 I’m so glad the recipe caught your eye. Lucuma powder should work beautifully here! It would add a subtle sweetness and a lovely depth of flavor that would complement the vanilla and mint perfectly. Let me know if you give it a try—I’d love to hear how it turns out for you! 😊💛
