Sunshine Smoothie Ingredients
To make this smoothie you only need five ingredients:
- Orange
- Frozen mango
- Milk of choice
- Dates
- Ice
Together they create a bright and uplifting smoothie that tastes sweet and satisfying. My husband absolutely loves this smoothie after a workout and my kids keep requesting it first thing in the morning. It is never a bad time to make this vitamin-C packed smoothie!
Health Benefits of Oranges
As we all know, oranges provide loads of immune-boosting vitamin C! Evidence even suggests that for some people, high doses of vitamin C might actually shorten a cold by as much as one and a half days. In addition, vitamin C fights free radicals to prevent or delay certain cancers and heart disease. It is essential for the growth and repair of bodily tissues, helps heal wounds and repairs and maintains healthy cartilage, bones, teeth and skin.
All About Mangoes
Mangoes are naturally sweet and are such a wonderful fruit that can satisfy your sweet tooth while packing in important nutrients. Mangos offer fiber, potassium and vitamins A and C, which together boost immunity, improve heart health and reduce your risk for many chronic diseases.

This is a sugar addict's dream: two of the sweetest fruits, plus dates, too. OMG.
Many Americans work so diligently on our healthy diets, spend more on organics, hunt down exotic superfoods, etc. But most of us also try to maintain our sugar addiction.
I don't mean to pick on you and your delightful recipes. It's everywhere: keto products/recipes with monkfruit levels that match the taste of Snickers bars, Paleo or vegan brownies with 20-30 grams of sugar per serving.
People who actually cut back on sugar change their sugar tooth and can barely eat or drink the 'normal' sugary snacks that fill our health food stores. Something to think about.
