
Hi, I'm Elaine! I'm a recipe developer, food photographer and mama of three behind Eating by Elaine. This little corner of the internet is where I share the allergy-friendly, plant-based recipes that keep my family (and hopefully yours!) excited to eat at the table together.
I grew up surrounded by food allergies and later had to figure out my own sensitivities so I became the queen of swapping, testing and reinventing classic recipes until they tasted just as good (if not better) than the originals. Everything you'll find here is vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free and free from common allergens such as peanuts, corn and soy. Basically: food that loves you back.
My Cooking Style
Think: lots of fresh produce, herbs, spices and simple plant-based ingredients that come together fast but feel special. I'm all about making meals that are nourishing and fun, letting kids help in the kitchen, and proving that "nutritious" doesn't mean boring or restrictive.
A Few Things About Me
I've got a Master of Public Health + am a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (aka: I lean on evidence-based research and trusted, credible sources).
I wrote and photographed a smoothie cookbook (Rock Your Blender which is made for smoothie lovers!).
You'll usually find me testing recipes in my Baltimore kitchen with my kids and husband as the unofficial taste-testers.
Instagram and TikTok are where I share new recipes, cooking videos and random behind-the-scenes chaos.
