Description

Blueberries and lemon are a flavor match made in summer heaven. The tartness of the fresh lemon juice perfectly complements the natural sweetness of the blueberries, and when blended together they create the most gorgeous violet hue. This isn't just ordinary lemonade - it feels special and elevated, yet it couldn't be easier to make!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups filtered water (or coconut water for electrolytes)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • juice of 3 lemons (3/4 cup of fresh lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • ice for serving

Instructions

  1. Place water, blueberries, lemon juice, maple syrup and salt in a high speed blender and blend on the highest speed for 30-60 seconds until no blueberry bits remain and the mixture is super smooth.
  2. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove any remaining blueberry skin bits.
  3. To serve, pour the blueberry lemonade over a glass filled to the top with ice.

Notes

Salt is key. Just a pinch of salt brings all the flavors to life and helps your body absorb hydration better. It doesn't make the drink taste salty (trust me). Think of it as Nature's Gatorade but with fresh blueberries instead of frozen and water instead of coconut water.
