Description

This viral 2-ingredient berry cobbler is one of those recipes that seems too good to be true. It comes together with frozen berries and premade sugar cookie dough, yet the end result tastes like a cozy homemade cobbler with jammy fruit and a golden crisp topping!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2, 10-ounce packages of frozen organic mixed berries
  • 2 packages of Sweet Loren's sugar cookie dough (not sponsored)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add the frozen mixed berries to a 9-inch pie dish (or 8 x 8 casserole dish) and spread evenly.
  3. Place the cookie dough discs evenly over the berries, leaving a little space between each cookie.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and use the back of a spoon to gently flatten and spread the cookie dough pieces so they cover more of the berries. This helps create a crispier cobbler topping. Do not skip!
  5. Return to the oven and bake for another 13-15 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crisp around the edges. Watch carefully during the final few minutes of baking.
  6. Serve warm on its own or with dairy-free vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • For a thicker berry filling, add 1-2 teaspoons of arrowroot powder to the berries before baking.
  • Feel free to add a little salt or a sprinkle of maple sugar if desired, but it is perfect without!
  • Individual ramekins can be used instead of a pie dish for single-serving cobblers.
