This quick and easy lemon herb tahini sauce is one of my all time favorite sauces! Featuring fresh herbs, tahini, garlic and lemon, this nutritious and versatile sauce is perfect for adding fresh flavor to almost any dish.

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup runny tahini
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, large thick stems removed
  • 1 cup fresh Italian flat leaf parsley, large thick stems removed
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lemon, juiced

  1. Add all ingredients to a mini food processor (or blender) and purée until smooth and creamy. Alternatively, you can pulse until well combined where only specs of herbs can be seen.
  2. Serve!

  • Store leftover tahini sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to about 5-7 days. It will thicken in the fridge, so when reusing you might need to whisk with extra water to thin it out to your desired consistency.
  • You can add some of the thinner stems in this sauce since it is pureed and still offers flavor.
