Description

This healthy homemade lemonade is perfectly sweet, tart and refreshing! Made with fresh lemon juice and naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup, it's an easy, refined sugar-free alternative to traditional lemonade. Ready in just 5 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 6 lemons depending on the their size)
  • 1 1/2 cups filtered water (or coconut water for a homemade electrolyte drink)
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
  • 2-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup (to taste)
  • pinch of unrefined mineral salt
  • Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. Use a lemon squeezer to freshly squeeze the juice out of 6 or more lemons until you have half a cup of fresh lemon juice. Add lemon juice to blender along with water, ice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and salt. Blend on high speed for a couple seconds until everything is combined and the ice melted.
  2. Taste and add an additional tablespoon of maple syrup if you want it sweeter. If it is too tart you can also add more water.
  3. Pour overtop ice in a pitcher or in glasses.
  4. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh mint sprigs if desired. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a day. Best when fresh.
